HISTORY
Family: Father – Dustfur; Mother – Nightfeather; Half-Sister – Willowstar
History:kithood
Blackmoon was the only kit of Nightfeather and Dustfur. His mother died in kitting and he was raised by a queen named Redblossom instead. From the moment he was born, he was viewed as some strange spectacle and all cats were wary of the strange marking on his back as well as his silvery white eyes. He grew up mostly alone with no true siblings and an adoptive mother who couldn’t care less about the crescent moon-marked kit. He began his star-gazing young as a way to cope with his lack of friends.
apprenticeship
Blackmoon was the apprentice of a warrior by the name of Hawkwing. He was not the best apprentice ever and often became distracted from his training. He was much better at hunting than at fighting, but eventually, he passed all the necessary tests to become a warrior.
warrior
Blackmoon fell in love with a she-cat named Bluefeather when he was a young warrior. Their romance was short-lived however and no kits came out of it. They were brutally separated at the Battle of the Sandy Hollow when Bluefeather lost her life after sustaining a horrible wound. Blackmoon sunk back into his distant, philosophical ways and distanced himself again from his Clanmates. He never gained much renown as a fighter and had to work of wisdom and strength of mind to gain respect. Eventually, as he aged and became a senior warrior, Blackmoon became a respected figure of his Clan though still an image of unease. He gained the unofficial position of advisor within ShadowClan and helped his half-sister Willowstar make many hard decisions. She and many other cats still view him as a holy cat, one of StarClan’s own. Blackmoon himself is unsure but likes to think it could be true.
