Character:Crowfrost Song:Never had a dream come true Thoughts:'Do I love wolfclaw' Everyones got something that they had to leave behind.Crowfrost looked up. Her parents... This she knew....however now it was time to leave them behind. A small wind brushed her pelt. She closed her eyes, and she knew her parents were with her. She found her sign. Finally. Her paws took her forward not backwards. It was time to move on....and now she was at peace.
No matter where it took her too, a part of them would always be with her. She smiled. She got to thinking about something. She had thought back, to the days when she was just a kit...Wolfclaw... she could see the toms warm smile when he fist introduced himself as Wolfkit. When he became Wolfpaw...she had to pretend that she had moved on...in fact she was just afraid of losing him.
The stars danced around her. A warm breeze brushed her once again. She felt so comfortable. A feeling she had never felt in a very long time."Do I love you Wolfclaw...?"Her thoughts pounded like a loud roar of Thunder. How on earth would she do this. She ended up in front of the burnt sycamore. She had lost track of time. Moonhigh was it now? She wanted to head back to camp but something kept her where she was.
Her blue eyes trailed over to a small patch of grass. The only grass you would find in Shadowclans territory. She felt a knot form in her stomache and butterflies shoot from her mouth as her jaw dropped, Her whiskers twitched and she tasted the air as if she had lost track of her words."Wolfclaw....?"

The dark gray tom lunged forward, claws outstretched. He'd been sloppy with his last catch, that blasted frog. He'd bloodied his nose on that hunt and had been little more than useless since then with his tracking abilities. Not this time. This time, he was in top form. He wouldn't miss this time. Not for anything. Not for all the glory in the world. Maybe for a chance to prank Duskfrost... NO! Not even that. Nothing would mess this up. Nothing! Not even that sweet... wonderful... enticing scent... Wait...
"Crowfrost!"
The warrior tripped over his paws. A warrior. Of ShadowClan. TRIPPED. Over his own blessed paws! He fell into the clearing with a loud 'thud'. Thankfully, his gaping mouth had snared the mouse and driven a fang right into the back of its head. That wouldn't happen twice in a life time. Secretly, he thanked StarClan that he at least had something to show for his blunder, despite the fact that he had embarrassed himself in front of Crowfrost.
Wolfclaw looked up at his friend, his paws tangled together and a confused look on his face. Realization washed over him as he righted himself. He knew why he had fouled up. Hers was the scent that filled his muzzle as he drifted to sleep every night. He didn't trip over his paws, Crowfrost's scent trail tripped him! He laughed to himself as he dropped the mouse at his paws and sat up, green eyes falling on his friend.
"The moonlight looks good on your fur."

Character:Crowfrost Song:Never had a dream come true Thoughts:Silly boy Summery:Crowfrost had been wondering the forest thiking about her past and future. The thought came up that she might love wolfclaw. She found him out hunting where he embaressed himself in front of her. THATS WHAT YOU MISSED! Her eyes bounced with amusement as he nearly failed his catch."Silly boy.."She mewed. She smiled and stepped forward. His words lingered in the warm crisp air.'The moonlight looks good on your fur'. She looked herself over. So it did. Or did it? She wasn't about to get into a war with herself over how she looked in the dark."Thank you. You look mysterious...and less of a trouble maker in the moonlight..." She mewed. A energetic tone was mixed in with that.
Her eyes softened."I somehow eneded up here. Who knew I would find you out here..." She looked at her paws. She drew small circles in the pine needles with her small gray paws."Wolfclaw...." She choked on her words. What would she say to him. She sighed and looked up. The moon was reflecting in her eyes. For once she wasn't that bitter she-cat that most avoided.
"I never found the words to say...Wolfclaw I think about you...almost everyday..." She mewed. She struggled to finish her thoughts."I don't want you hurt...I want to protect you...but sometimes I can't..." Part of that was what she wanted to say."What I mean to say is..." Could she do it? It was hard for her to spit the words out. Bits and pieces were falling out at a time."I got to thinking about my kithood and apprenticeship and all of my warriorship so far. I think I might love you...Wolfclaw..."

"Thank you. You look mysterious...and less of a trouble maker in the moonlight..."
Wolfclaw made a face of mock surprise and raised a paw to inspect the reflection of moonlight off his fur.
"I must remember that. Perhaps I should set traps at night from now on..."
He grinned at his own silliness and placed his paw back on the ground. The tom tilted his ears as he watched Crowfrost's expression soften. Curious. He'd never seen her so calm before. Was something wrong? Before he could ask, his ears caught her gentle voice. She looked down at her paws. Embarrassed? Crowfrost? Why? His eyes narrowed as he heard her say his name, as if she was going to tell him something important. His expression grew serious, then froze. The moon... It shined beautifully in her eyes...
"I never found the words to say...Wolfclaw I think about you...almost everyday..."
He flicked his tail absently and drew himself up proudly. So the she-cat was worried for her friend? He gave a self-conscious lick to his chest and shoulder where the fur stuck up around some scars from the recent battle. Well... He had been rather clumsy...
"I don't want you hurt...I want to protect you...but sometimes I can't..."
Wolfclaw opened his mouth to reply, but thought better of himself. The words 'You don't have to worry about me' weren't going to stop her from doing so. Besides, this was Crowfrost. No cat interrupted her. Ever. Instead, he waited patiently for her to sort her words out.She caught him off guard when she did.
"I think I might love you...Wolfclaw..."
A reply to this statement called for thought, tact, timing, and understanding, four of which escaped Wolfclaw entirely.
"I didn't know it was being debated, Crowfrost," he said rather bluntly, "But now that I think about it, I never did say it out loud. I love you too."

"I didn't know it was being debated, Crowfrost," he said rather bluntly, "But now that I think about it, I never did say it out loud. I love you too."
Crowfrost wasn't sure about what to say to that. She had just gotten these feelings for this tom. Perhaps she had lead him in the wrong direction all of her life. What would have happened if she hadn't loved Wolfclaw? Would he still have been her friend. Thoughts rushed her through her head, however none were the case. She did love her best friend, she had nothing to worry about after all.
"Traps...Such as a piece of Crowfood in the deputies stash?" She couldn't help but smile. That had been her first prank as an apprentice. What would be the next step for her. As she had said her words she noticed him looking over his battlescars. She did the same and flinched,"Crowtail got to me before I could help you. You know I would have if it weren;t for that fleabag."She had never been so lost for words in her life. She didn't know what to say or what to talk about. Changing the subject was all she could really do. One thing lead to another in Shadowclan. Or so it seemed.
"What next wolfclaw? Do we plan a prank....?" Now was her mind rolling. Jokes and pranks to play. How fun would that be."I wonder how much trouble we could get in?" She grinned. Although she wouldn't really like to try to get in trouble, a new idea was starting to form. How much trouble could a pair of trouble makers get into?

"Crowtail got to me before I could help you. You know I would have if it weren't for that fleabag."
"You tried. You fought bravely. And you came back alive. That is all that matters to me," he said seriously as he approached her and sat down beside the she-cat. He licked her ear and swiped his tail over the frost, letting it land near hers. "If I live until the stars fall from Silverpelt, I'll be happy as long as you are there beside me."
"What next wolfclaw? Do we plan a prank....?"
Wolfclaw's mind did a backflip. Prank? After what they had just said to each other? She was such a kit! Then again, it wasn't like the tom himself had never proposed a prank in the oddest of situations. Besides, Crowfrost had wanted to play a prank the very night her mother had died. This was nothing new.
"I wonder how much trouble we could get in?"
"As mates, I think the most trouble we could get in would be to watch the kits while the queens stretch their legs. Good practice for when we have our own, don't you think?"
Wolfclaw nudged his mate in the shoulder playfully, but some of that statement was actually true. He thought he'd make a good father. Would Crowfrost agree? ShadowClan needed more kits, but some part of him questioned wether the other warriors would be quite so eager about it. His kits would probably inherit both parents' need for pranks and jokes. Duskfrost would die if there were little Wolfclaws running around camp, he knew it.

Crowfrost smiled. Her blue eyes sparkling with a new light. She was never very happy but tonight.... was the start of something new. Perhaps she wouldn't be the grouch she always was.Kits....." She mewed softly. She thought for a moment she would like some of her own.I want some of my own....kits....I want to protect them. Love them and raise them. I want a family..."She seemed very distant again. Why did she feel the need. Most thought she wasn't family oriented.
"My mother was a great mother. She taught me a lot of my skills. My dad was never around much, but that didn't mean he didn't like my siblings and I... Perhaps...just maybe I can be something my parents well my father wasn't." She smiled at the tom. It would be a long night. When they got home it would be a start to the new Crowfrost.

Wolfclaw suppressed a shout of joy. Kits! His kits! He wanted to yowl it out to the whole forest. After the shiver running up his spine faded, he let his fur lay flat and calmed himself by taking a deep breath before letting it out slowly. It didn't stop his paws from itching. He wanted to run all over ShadowClan territory in pure happiness, maybe even trample the deputy in his nest before reporting the horrible, wonderful news.
"You'll make a wonderful mother," he said calmly. He was laughing at himself inside, amazed at how composed his body was while, in his mind, he was running around and chasing his tail like a kit.
He purred as he finally calmed down. The tom kneaded the soil with his claws, occupying his thoughts so his excited mind would finally slow down. He forced the thought of his mate's dead mother far from his mind. That would not be Crowfrost. She would live to grow old, with him, until they were thrown into the elders' den. They would never be cut down in battle. Nothing would stop them from seeing their kits grow up. StarClan would have to shake them from their fur before they would join them in Silverpelt.
"I always thought I'd make a good father. I'll watch them for you whenever you want to get away from the nursery. I promise."
He knew how tired the queens could get when they had little ones to look after. However, he also knew that first-timers were protective. Would Crowfrost claw him every time he got too close? He hoped not. Kits were too cute to avoid.

Crowfrost watched her mate with playful eyes. Would she be a good mother? She licked her chest and sighed."You would watch them for me??" She smiled warmly and started walking back towards camp. Kits. She didn't even think it would happen. Wolfclaw.. She loved him so much. She gently touched the tom with her tail. She locked eyes with him only momentarily before focusing on the path in front of her again.
"I wonder how many warriors will be happy...for us..." She mewed. She thought to Duskfrost only for a moment. Would the deputy want two Wolfclaws running around? Would the deputy want more than one Crowfrost running around. She couldn't help but smiile."More pranksters just what we need in Shadowclan..." She laughed."We will have quite the family...if they are like you....dear..." She mewed.
Her pawsteps brought her to the camp entrance. She paused not quite wanting to go in yet."Are you going to tell Duskfrost or should I?" She laughed as she entered through the bramble entrance."I want to know who should ruin teh day of the grande deputy?"

"You would watch them for me?"
"Of course! Why not? It'd be fun," he answered quickly. After all, how hard could it be to look after a couple of kits? They wouldn't be able to go very far when they're young and he could wrestle with them when they got a bit older. Maybe he'd ever crash into the apprentices den once they became 'paws so he could spend time with them then too.
He stood up once he realized that Crowfrost wanted to get back to camp. It was getting a little cold now. And they'd probably be missed if they didn't get back soon. Or at least, they'd be questioned when they got back and suspicions would rise about wether or not they were planning a new prank. He didn't want to have to explain what they were doing...
"I wonder how many warriors will be happy...for us..."
"Oh, I think some would be relieved," he said with a grin on his face, "With young kits, there'll have to be a break in prank planning. Once they're apprentices, we can get back on track. Duskfrost has to be first on our list..."
"More pranksters just what we need in Shadowclan... We will have quite the family...if they are like you....dear..."
Wolfclaw's heart warmed at the returning idea. Little Wolfclaws... It would be quite the treat.
"Are you going to tell Duskfrost or should I? I want to know who should ruin teh day of the grande deputy?"
"Race you!" he answered as he picked up his pace and ran toward the warriors' den.
