well, you treat me just like
- - ANOTHER STRANGER?
- - ANOTHER STRANGER?
you're all alone again, falling from the stars, drenched in the pain of what happened that night you took it too far.
slumped against the back alley's wall, laying naked in some random persons bed, half laying across a bench that is situated in the middle of a playground. parents warning their children to not stray too far from the swing set. there's a constant drumming inside your head and as you start to stir from your ungodly slumber you begin to remember what happened 'that night'. confusion crosses your face, your eyes clouded with a mist that has been there so many times before. you struggle to sit up, shaking hands rubbing the mist from your eyes whilst your mind tries to recall how you got to the place you just woke up in.
then it happens. the person walking towards you, out of the misty fog in your eyes. you're offered a hand, which you take (whether you think it stupid to do such a thing in your current state is a mere post-it note at the very back of your mind). this person, or apparition, whatever namesake you may give it; it leads you to a place far away. a place so recluse that only the dead of mind and the weak of heart know how to get there - with the exception of the person guiding you there.
you wake up, the walls are grey, the bed is slightly uncomfortable and your clothes are not your own. lifting a hand you rub at your eyes with cold fingers, the first thing you see is a logo emblazened on a badge, attached to a woman who's staring at you oddly; like you're a fish out of water. she furrows her brows at you and waves a clipboard. 'john doe.' she says, flipping over a sheet on the clipboard. 'what are you? an acloholic, a drug addict, or an alcoholic drug addict?' you reply with a mumble, then a whisper and finally your voice goes up an octave higher and you scream bloody murder...
''ANOTHER STRANGER?''
'no,' the nurse replies, 'welcome to sunny hills rehabilitation center.'
