“They seem to be getting along well.”
Hawkfang knew what Ottersplash meant before he voiced it, as he had found it strange the first time Blackmoon stepped forward to take place as medicine cat with a former ThunderClan leader. Two Clans that generally fought each other all the time ,never allies, only foes; two Clans with cats that used to live in them working together, for once.
“Is there more of a reason you left RiverClan then you liking the moor?
Back to the original question.
“If you mean romance wise, no. Otherwise…In a sense. Even if this moor was cruel and impossible to love, I would have still left, because my true loyalty lies with WindClan. I know I vowed to protect RiverClan before, but WindClan wasn’t an option, and that was where I was born; I had no reason to leave then,” Hawkfang cut off, frowning, for he wasn’t making as much sense as he would’ve liked to.

The dark chocolate head shook slowly, and Ottersplash's eyes narrowed slightly. Before, he might have accepted such words from someone. But never from Hawkfang, and not now. His friend's betrayal had changed something in him, and it was simply impossible for Ottersplash to ignore the ridiculousness of what was going on.
"You promised to defend RiverClan," he mewed with a sigh, tail lashing unhappily. "How can any of your Clanmates trust each other? You all gave your word to your former Clans, and just left...." he stopped, shaking his head roughly as he glanced at Hawkfang from the corner of his eyes. They were nearing the edge of the moors, and he knew they would have to part ways soon. There was no need to end on such a bad note. Not that there was much way to end on a good note....
"Sorry," he sighed finally, coming to stop at the border. "I just don't understand. I suppose I should go now..." He couldn't decide what to do now. Walk away without another word, or wait for Hawkfang to speak? Lick his friend's shoulder like he'd always done before, or keep his distance? And so, the undecisive tomcat waited for the deputy of WindClan to make the move.
