APPEARANCE

Body Type: Thin, tall and lanky
Fur: Pale grey/brown with a pure white throat and front paws
Eyes: Pale yellow; After her transformation they have become darker and more piercing
Markings: Tabby stripes
Overall: Shadow has short, thick fur that is brown at its base with tips of grey intermixed. Her grey/brown fur is patterned with dozens of thick, dark brown stripes. Her throat and front paws shine with pure white fur. Shadow's build is just as her name suggests, willowy. She looks almost frail at first glance with long, graceful limbs and a petite frame. However, lean muscles ripple under her tabbied pelt giving her the strength needed to lead her Clan.

PERSONALITY

Positive Traits:
-- Determined: Once Shadow starts something, she's not going to back down from it. She will work hard for what she believes in and never give up even in the face of certain defeat.
-- Courageous: She never backs down from a challenge and always stands up for what so believes in.
-- Intelligent: Though she'll never back down from a challenge, she always thinks things through first and comes to the best solution to a problem.
-- Faithful: The she-cat is extremely faithful to the Dark Forest and serves Tigerstar and Brokenstar completely.
-- Proud: Shadow always holds her head high and will never let anyone degrade her or bring her down.

Flaws:
-- Arrogant: If nothing else, Shadow is arrogant. She is arrogant and vain right to the core because of her pride. Everyone else is lesser in her mind.
-- Hostile: Since her transformation, she has become more than hostile, bordering on cruel. There are only two cats free from her cruelty: Stagpaw and Fawnpaw.
-- Stubborn: Shadow will never back down from what she believes to be true even if she's been proved false time and time again.
-- Serving the Dark Forest: Enough said, really.
-- Insane: Not quite insane, but verging on it. After everything that happened to her, the she-cat's sanity slipped quite a bit. Now that she again has a purpose in serving the Dark Forest, it has somewhat returned but she still isn't all there.

Fears:
-- Fire: She has only a vague memory of the small bush fire that almost took her life as a kit, but it has haunted her ever since.
-- Insurrection: Shadow has an irrational fear of mutiny and will do whatever she can to keep her Clan together.

Overall: Her personality has become one-sided after her abandonment of ShadowClan and her transformation into Shadow. Her arrogance and cruelty have increased tenfold and she hides none of her personality to any cat. She is very intelligent and quick-thinking as well as strong of mind and courageous. She is extremely stubborn and will never back down or give up. She has developed a deep faith in the Dark Forest and will do almost anything for Brokenstar and Tigerstar.

HISTORY

Family: Father - Dustfur; Mother - Thrushpelt; Brothers - Stormtail and Yarrowkit
History: Willowstar was born to Dustfur and Thrushpelt along with her two brothers, Stormtail and Yarrowpelt. A fire broke out in the nursery when the three siblings were only a few moons old. Helpless, they watched flames engulf the brush around them, mewling in terror. Their mother came back for them but she only had time to rescue two of her kits from the inferno before it all went up in a blaze. Yarrowkit perished in the fire while Willowkit and Stormkit lived on with a morbid fear of fire.

Willowkit passed into apprenticeship and made it through the trials of an apprentice easily to earn her warrior name of Willowleaf alongside her brother, now named Stormtail. Willowleaf was determined and proud even as a young warrior and had a driving ambition to make it to the top. She worked hard, over-exerting herself sometimes, to bring in the most prey and be the most valuable hunter.

Willowleaf's first battle was the Battle of the Sandy Hollow in which she played a major role, helping the current deputy lead the ambush party into ThunderClan territory. She saved the deputy's life in the battle, bringing even more renown to her name. Her heroics were all in vain it seemed, as the deputy died only moons later to greencough. Her reputation in the Clan, however, earned her the position of deputy.

Moons passed until the Battle of Snakerocks. Russetstar, the aging leader, led her patrol across the Thunderpath to claim ThunderClan territory, leaving Willowleaf behind to guard the camp. Russetstar knew it was likely to be her last mission as a warrior, hence why she wanted to lead the expedition herself. The elderly leader died in the Battle and ShadowClan gained no territory, but Willowleaf gained the title of leader and traveled to HighStones the next night to receive her nine lives and the name Willowstar.

Her first life was lost not long after the ceremony when she threw herself in the way of an attacking badger headed for the nursery. She managed to drive the animal away but lost her first life in the process. The second was lost at the Battle of the Moor where ShadowClan and RiverClan forces fought bitterly over WindClan's territory. With both sides losing many cats, including Stormtail, there was no clear victory and the outcome was merely a truce until the more decisive victory came later.

Only three moons after, ThunderClan launched the Second Battle of the Fourtrees. All three Clans fought with no semblance of alliance between any pair. RiverClan managed to overpower the other two Clans and win a decisive victory. Willowstar has, however, not stopped hunting in WindClan territory simply because RiverClan won the battle.

Willowstar began a downward spiral with the advent of WindClan. Her deputy had disappeared and her medicine cat had died before the conflict had even begun. Then, after the formation, six more cats left including Blackmoon, her half-brother. Distraught and failing in sanity, Willowstar left ShadowClan with Fawnpaw and Stagpaw to speak with StarClan.

Instead, she spoke with the Dark Forest and they gave her a mission. Tigerstar and Brokenstar granted her immortality to serve them as their agent upon earth. She is somewhere between life and death and much more powerful than any cat that walks in the forest (Except Elkheart.)
