Spiderkit yelped at his sister's shout, totally caught off guard. Now with Wolfclaw leaving the area, the rage filling his head from Stormkit's emotions was frightening. Why was she so angry? No kit could be that angry! It was impossible!
"I will not go to Windclan. I can't believe one would be so mouse brained. Windclan won't make it. It will be such a waste..."
"Wolfclaw said they had a chance..." Spiderkit whimpered as he backed away, clearly no longer holding on to his bossy attitude. This was too confusing. His brain hurt. The emotions were too powerful for him. He wanted to go back to camp. He wanted to be any place other than here.
"I will leave at moonhigh Spiderkit, that way I can bid you a proper goodbye..."
The anger ebbed as Stormkit padded away. After she was a few tail lengths ahead of him, all he could feel was his own fear and another fit of aggression just behind him.
"Don't come back!" he shouted, his confidence starting to return, "You're mean!"
"Fine Wolfclaw, if you want me to forget that you and I were mates, then I can do so....but that means you are my enemey the moment your cross the boarder..."
"Be it so..." Wolfclaw murmured as he slowed his pace to a mourning stride. Would she ever understand? He couldn't let her put herself in jeopardy just for his sake. In truth, he was protecting her. Being cruel to be kind. Once he joined WindClan, nothing could betray them. A border was a wall. Strong and thick. Impenetrable. Only if and when Crowfrost joined him could they be truly together again. Until then, any love shown between them would be seen as disloyalty and betrayal.

Stormkits tail twitched. Windclan have a chance."Windclan has no chance she murmured." Her pale green eyes turned to narrowed slits of pure fury."Once the clans recover from the cats that they lost, they will be fighting for the moor once again. Three clans can take out a cat with nine lives, and four others easily." Stormkit felt sick to her stomach. She felt so wronged by the words that slipped from her mouth, but for some reason she thought about wisely. She was wise, her words had some truth. She heard spiderkit calling to her, not to come back. No, she wouldn't come back, but she did for just a moment.
She sighed, wrapping her tail around her paws. She felt so inhumane by speaking the words she just did" In reality Stormkit would be killing no one with her claws at least, however seeing her family die from a serious injury would be just as bad as she herself using her claws."I think I have accepted that fact that I need to go to Windclan
Crowfrost let out a irritated growl, her claws digging into the ground. "Stagpaw doesn't need you..." She was angry. Her tone was no longer soft inside. She was losing her mate, and best friend, and soon, her daughter. She shuttered and looked at him."Don't come back, not once, I don't want to have to attack you...." Her tone was cold and harsh. Cruel, yet kind. Like he was doing to her.
"When cats like us clash in a battle, it can be deadly. Shadowclan wants that moor..." A glint in her eyes seemed sick and twisted."We might fight your small clan for it one day...why not go now. While Stormkits still sane to listen to her parents. Once she is an apprentice, its her own choice, but while shes a kit, might be wise." She didn't want him around."I took these kits out hoping to have a nice family outing. You ruined....my mood...Wolfclaw...leave Shadowclan at once....don't come back...."
She thought for a moment. What had she just said? What had she done?"I'm sorry....I didn't mean it..."She bit her lip nervously thinking about what she had said."I changed my mind..."She thought back to a moon ago when her own Willowstar had made an advancement to attack her."I will go to Windclan....I apologize....my anger just slipped..."She was sorry she really was.
"Shadowclan is done for.... Perhaps its time I just accept that..and move on. My parents are in Starclan and that's where they will always be. Perhaps...I should move on from there death and find a new place to settle down. That way...we are all together, and not seperated." SHe paused."After Willostars advancement a moon ago. It changed my thinking. I will leave...tonight..."

Wolfclaw walked on, trying not to listen to the harsh words that spewed forth form Crowfrost's mouth. She was out of sorts. He had been so extreem... practically ending their relationship like this. She was so committed to helping her birthclan that he guessed she overlooked what had happened a few moons ago just after WindClan had been announced. Harsh words were used then as well the exchanging of pawswipes. It gave him shivers to remember Willowstar's anger.
"I'm sorry....I didn't mean it..."
The tabby warrior looked up and back at his friend. He was far away, but he'd been able to hear that whisper of a voice carried on the wind. His ears pricked for more as he paused, wondering if she would come after him, but in the back of his mind, he knew she'd never leave her kits so unguarded. He took a few paces in their direction, senses alert for Crowfrost's voice only.
"I changed my mind..."
A rethink? From Crowfrost? And so quickly? Wolfclaw sprinted back to her, tail fluffed up in alarm. Was someone threatening her from the shadows to get her to say this? Surely the queen would never admit she had been wrong or changed sides easily when fault was found. But there was no other scent other than his own family's and some stale scents from the apprentices and mentors who had trained their the day before. He found his mate as he had left her, their kits not too far off, but looking very put out.
"I will go to Windclan....I apologize....my anger just slipped... Shadowclan is done for.... Perhaps its time I just accept that..and move on. My parents are in Starclan and that's where they will always be. Perhaps...I should move on from there death and find a new place to settle down. That way...we are all together, and not seperated. After Willostars advancement a moon ago. It changed my thinking. I will leave...tonight..."
"T-tonight?!" Wolfclaw sputtered, the fur along his spine rising in worry, "B-but what about Stagpaw? And will you still tell Willowstar? I mean... Are our kits even old enough to travel that long?"
"I think I have accepted that fact that I need to go to Windclan."
Spiderkit was dazed now. He was back in range of Stormkit's emotional tail twister. She'd slumped down, looking defeated. She felt defeated. After all, not even Spiderkit could go against his parent's wishes. He looked back at the pair and blinked. Wolfclaw had returned and seemed to be frightened and worried, but there was something shining in his eyes that wasn't on Spiderkit's radar. Hope? Determination? He couldn't tell. He did seem a fraction happier and there wasn't much of a horrifying cloud of uncertainty circling in the dark kit's head. Perhaps Crowfrost had said something to calm him, which was surprising, but welcome. What it was, he didn't know.
"I don't want dad to go away..." he mumbled out loud, "He's fun..."
