SILVERFLOWER:
Leaf-bare! So many cats found this season bothersome, and she could not ignore the many faults, but what cat could wish for this season to vanish from eternity when it provided the best time to swim? Many thought she was crazy for wanting to swim when the chill could surely kill her, but it was a matter of knowing when to get out. If one’s skin was turning blue, or if one could no longer feel their limbs, it would be very wise of one to pull themselves out of the water. Really, it was just that simple. Of course, the change of the seasons did throw her schedule off a bit; that was what Silverflower hated the most. The change.
She had come to realize that the forest needed all the seasons, but why couldn’t they blend a little better? It was like she went to bed during Leaf-bare and then woke up to Newleaf! Silverflower sighed, but the sound caught in her throat as she neared the RiverClan border. Finally! She had been waiting all Leaf-bare for her chance to slip away and come to the river. This…this would be the most wonderful swim ever! Silverflower let out a mew of excitement as she ran towards the frozen over river. Luckily, she ran on the ice that was still strong. And slippery. With a light yelp, Silverflower slid on her rump across the ice, abruptly sliding onto the bank and falling over. The orange ThunderClanner leapt to her feet, tail tip twitching crossly.
“Oh, because that was kind,” she growled, walking along the bank until she found a part of the ice that had previously broken away. It was a large chunk near the bank. She easily broke off the rest so that she could just walk out of the river, instead of having to drag herself onto the ice. Silverflower surveyed the cold water, a shiver of excitement rolling down her spine. Finally.
The she-cat sprang into the water, her paws churning the water with ease. The cold water settled around her and she shivered slightly, but soon grew more accustomed to the temperature...
FIRESTRIPE:
Why was she here?! Firestripe slipped out of the water quickly. Why, oh why, had Silverflower decided to come here today? The orange tabby tried to fluff out her coat, but it was too wet and she began to quickly lick it, though she was not licking it in a correct way to dry it off. Foxdung! That mouse-brained she-cat; why couldn’t she be like Firestripe? Firestripe waited until night, when it was warm, to swim and she certainly didn’t bruise her tail in the process!
What if a RiverClan warrior came by? Or a patrol! That would be even worse. Firestripe stopped grooming her wet pelt, shivering as she stood and looked back at the water. She had to get back to camp, but she was too cold to move far, espiecally when it meant sinking into some snow. This spot had been padded down by mouse-brained Silverflower. Nice of her to be considerate for once.

Hawkfang wasn't actually gone. No, of course not. He was just slipping out of camp before Otterspash woke up, then coming back into the warrior den once Ottersplash was asleep. That was all. His friend, his closest friend, had not joined WindClan. He just...he knew it. Because Hawkfang wouldn't leave Ottersplash...right?
Right. That was it. The chocolate warrior slipped through the foliage, paws moving fast and hurriedly toward the mostly frozen river. He smashed ferns and crunched the frost beneath his paws, slapped leaves with his long tail and made all sorts of ruckus, but what did he care? He wasn't hunting, and he was in RiverClan territory. Maybe...maybe, if he made enough noise, Hawkfang would hear and come see him. That would be nice. Yes....
Up ahead, the frozen sheet of ice across the river sparkled brightly in the sun, nearly blinding Ottersplash as he moved quickly towards it. Upon reaching the banks, the lanky warrior stepped out onto the thick ice, knowing it would not break beneath him. RiverClan cats just knew this kind of thing. He moved out to the very edge of the thick ice, then took a running leap and jumped to the other side of the bank. For some reason, on this side of the river the sun shined down upon the water, melting ice and allowing for some smooth-flowing rapids.
Everything melted away when he saw the river. Ottersplash forgot his dilemma with Hawkfang, forgot that WindClan had been reformed, and forgot that it was leafbare. His tail lashed in eagerness, and he was about to spring right into the icy water when he heard a splash.
Startled, Ottersplash turned at once, and his pale brown gaze caught sight of orange tabby she-cat climbing out of the water not far away. She was soaked to the bone, and as he watched, she slunk to the edge of the bank and began to groom herself, as if she hadn't meant to get all wet. But....how did one accidentally fall into a river? And....a quick sniff of the air told him that this was no RiverClanner. So...what was she doing here? Not that he was worried or anything. If she had come here meaning to attack, she certainly wouldn't have fallen in the river...and wouldn't be alone. Besides, cold as she looked, she probably couldn't move to attack anyway.
Confused and curious, Ottersplash abandoned his patch of water and trotted over to the she-cat, head tilted to one side as he approached. "I didn't know ThunderClanners liked to swim in leafbare," he commented, sitting his butt on the snowy ground as he waited for her reaction. "Most RiverClanners don't even like to do that." Most RiverClanners. Not including him. He couldn't imagine why others thought it so weird that he liked to swim in leafbare. What was not to like?
Word Count;; 367 Firestripe. Or Silverflower. Or....well...you know Notes;; Poor guy, missing Hawkfang and all x.x Haven't RPed with him in awhile...let's see how this goes.

Frozenclaw padded out of camp. The air was crisp and snow was still on the ground. He grinned because Leafbare was the only time his hunting became useful. Since he was pure white he could blend in the snow and surprise any prey that could be found. The tom found himself wandering towards the river. Of course, it was probably iced over by now, but it probably couldn't support his weight if he tried to cross it. But, he didn't have a purpose to cross it anyways.
By the time he reached the river he could scent two other cats .. or was it three? He knew it was either two or three but he was confused as to why he couldn't tell, after all he had one of the top noses in the clan. He shrugged it off and continued to pad down the path. Frozenclaw knew one of the cats was from Riverclan and the other one -- or two -- were Thunderclan. He decided that it would be best to check it out incase it broke into a border side battle. The white tom walked out of the almost dead reeds and revealed himself. It was Ottersplash and a she-cat, a wet she-cat, across the river.
"Hey, Ottersplash, is this she-cat giving you some trouble?" he joked, and smiled warmly at the two cats. Even if the she-cat was in another clan, he should be polite. His navy blue eyes rested on her, studying every detail about her. He liked to observe things and size up his opponents. She looked pretty innocent from what he could tell, but he had learned not to assume things in the eighteen moons he has been living. "So, what's your name?" Frozenclaw asked her. Another scent interrupted him. It was that same cat he had smelt before, it smelt like the she-cat across the river. The only explanation he had for this was that maybe there was another Thunderclanner accompanying her.

Foxdung!
Firestripe’s eyes widened as a RiverClan warrior approached; this one seemed young, but he could be hostile for all she knew! The she-cat tensed, ready to try and run if need be, though she highly doubted she’d get very far. Instead of attacking, the RiverClan tom sat in the snow and Firestripe’s eyes narrowed for a moment, but she allowed herself to relax. If this tom didn’t show hostility to her, she would try her best to do the same. No need to get in a fight that didn’t have to happen, after all.
“I didn’t know ThunderClanners liked to swim in Leaf-bare. Most RiverClanners don’t even like to do that.”
What was she supposed to say? Oh, strange warrior, I don’t like to swim during Leaf-bare. It’s my alternate personality that does! And you can’t talk to her right now, because she’s trapped in the back of my mind. That would certainly make a grand first impression. Firestripe grinned lightly; well, at least she liked swimming. So, maybe, if she pretended she was warmer she could keep the chill and irritation out of her voice. “It’s nice to have a little quirk that most cats don’t have themselves,” she replied. She stiffened slightly as she scented the air once more.
Oh, joy, another RiverClanner!
If she could flay Silverflower, that she-cat would be dead! Firestripe watched as a white tom made his way over, calling out to his Clanmate. Ottersplash. So that was the tom’s name. Had she heard it before? Firesplash couldn’t quite remember.
“So, what’s your name?”
Obviously he was addressing her.
“Er…my name’s Firestripe. What’s yours?” She added, hoping her voice sounded stronger now.

[/i] Snorting, Ottersplash glanced towards the half-frozen river with a smile. "Yeah, it's nice. Then again, it's not so fun when cats come diving in after you thinking you're going to drown." He shot her a sideways glance and added, "I like swimming in leafbare. No fish to bother you, at least. But some people are always downers about it. My friend Hawkfang always yells-" he cut off abruptly, ears flattening as Hawkfang's name just popped out of his mouth. Great StarClan...where was that mousebrain? Truly in WindClan? No. He's not in WindClan. Just relax and be patient, he thought angrily, shaking his head. He was a lot more moody recently...not nearly so fun. He only hoped it wore off... "Hey, Ottersplash, is this she-cat giving you some trouble?"The familiar voice graced his ears, and Ottersplash brightened immediately as he turned to face Frozenclaw. The bright white tomcat was on the other side of the river, perfectly cheerful, perfectly happy, and Ottersplash couldn't help but feel relieved. It would be a real downer if a serious cat had showed up and yelled at him for talking to a trespassing ThunderClanner. Crazy serious cats. "Nah, but it seems like she's got some fish genes in her," he replied to the warrior's words, flicking his tail cheerfully as he glanced back at Firestripe. Perhaps a better warrior would want to uphold a more serious demeanor, but...Not Ottersplash. And clearly not Frozenclaw. "How 'bout you hop your white fluffy butt on over here, instead of shrieking from across the river?" he called, patting the ground beside him with his tail. Turning back to Firestripe, he added, "I'm Ottersplash. So, you're part fish, too? Don't worry, we won't tell anyone."Word Count;; 274 Audience;; Firestripe and Frozenclaw Notes;; I ish liking this so far ^.^ It takes a real special cat to end up with two forbidden relationships.[/blockquote][/blockquote] [/td][/tr][/table]

[bg=black][atrb=border,0,true] The tom, Ottersplash, snorted at her words and looked towards the river. Firestripe could not help her whiskers from twitching as he spoke; oh, yes, that must be a downer if one was a RiverClanner, generally more then capable of swimming. Firestripe certainly wouldn’t mind having some cat to jump in after her when Silverflower decided swimming would be nice during Leaf-bare. Any other time of the year, the orange tabby she-cat could swim quite well, better then most in her Clan; but the chill of Leaf-bare got to her easily. She frowned as the tom abruptly cut off from what he was about to say.
Ottersplash seemed to be deeply troubled. She frowned before remembering…Hawkfang. Had he not been the cat from RiverClan to go to WindClan? Oh! Perhaps…perhaps they had been friends. Firestripe frowned; she could not imagine losing a friend, if she had any. Worse, though…to have a friend become your rival. She shivered at the very thought of it. When he began to address the white furred warrior, some happiness seemed to return to the dark brown tom and Firestripe allowed herself a light grin.
Fish genes!
Ha!
She stifled a chuckle as the tom went on.
Well, perhaps this little visit could be more fun then she thought. After all, these two cats didn’t seem hostile. And Firestripe wouldn’t mind finding some cats to be friendly with.
Comments; Specialness! Sorry it took so long to reply, btw, I was giving Elk a chance to, then had a burst of muse for Firestripe.

The white tom let out a snort, good ol' Ottersplash. He was always cracking jokes. Maybe the she-cat did have a fish gene in her. Firestripe was an interesting, yet exotic name. He had never heard of one quite like it, but he was always fascinated by the naming techniques different Clans had. Firestripe seemed to be relaxed to Frozenclaw's surprise. He studied her more closely. Her pelt was a bright flame orange, probably where she got her name. The stripe was most likely from her darker tabby stripes.
Frozenclaw casually padded towards the river, and dipped his paw in the shallows. A shudder slid down his spine but he ignored it and said, "Let me try." He grinned then padded deeper into the water. It was freezing, but he managed to keep his head above the water. He used his well built muscles to navigate himself, slowly, to the other side of the river. Then treaded there for a few heartbeats before saying, "It's not that bad, come on in, the water's fine Ottersplash!" A huge smile of delight spread across his face. First, he would lure his Clanmate in, then laugh when Ottersplash would go dashing out. It was be hilarious, but as smart as his Clanmate was he was likely not to fall for his little trick. But, hey, it was worth a try. Then, maybe, just maybe, he could get Firestripe to come in and really test her swimming abilities. By now, Frozenclaw was shivering, he swam back to the Riverclan side of the river and dragged himself towards the shallows of the shore. Ottersplash and Firestripe probably thought he was crazy. Wow, what a great first impression, stupid, he thought to himself, but then thought more brightly, Oh, well. At least she'll see the crazy side of me, the real me.

Oh, ho, Frozenclaw didn't know who he was dealing with! How could he have forgotten Ottersplash's own name? "Otter", right? Crazy little fluffball! As his Clanmate lied through his teeth and urged him to come in, Ottersplash let a smirk grace his face. He backed away from the edge of the river, as if afraid of the water. But when he reached a spot a few tail-lengths away from the river, he changed course and rushed forward, flinging himself out into the center of the river and landing with an almighty splash. Water flew everywhere, and icy coldness seeped into his shocked body.
"Feels amazing!" he mewed cheerfully, churning his paws beneath him as his breath quickened. The cold barely fazed him, he was so used to swimming in leafbare. Heck, he'd gladly swim year round if the dang river didn't get frozen over! "A bit chilly, but nothing a fish couldn't handle. Eh, Firestripe?" He called out to the she-cat then winked at Frozenclaw. This was fun! Who said enemy cats couldn't have fun? Firestriped seemed different than most other cats. Few cats in the other clans liked water, and few enough RiverClanners liked cold water, but he'd seen her pulling herself right out of the river a few moments ago! Impressive, to say the least. Ottersplash was intrigued.
Word Count;; 219 Audience;; Firestripe and Frozenclaw Notes;; Haha, Ottersplash's game for anything Frozenclaw wants to dish out!

[bg=black][atrb=border,0,true] The orange tabby watched as the white RiverClan tom slid into the river; crazy water cats! She could feel Silverflower wanting nothing more then to run in as well, but the orange tabby firmly pushed back the thoughts of the other she-cat; while there were times where she simply lost herself, retreated into the depths of her mind, she was able to keep Silverflower under control- it came in handy, that skill. Frozenclaw called out to Ottersplash and she looked over at the tom. There was a smirk on his face and she arched one brow slightly.
He backed farther up the bank, as if the water was a monster prepared to gobble him up whole; was he going to deny the challenge? Nope. The chocolate warrior ran forward, leaping into the river with gusto Firestripe had not witnessed before.
“Feels amazing!”
Firestripe laughed at his remark; well, he and Silverflower had something in common. Indeed, she could tell that the other cat so far approved of the young warror.
“A bit chilly, but nothing a fish can’t handle. Eh, Firestripe?”
She flicked an ear before padding closer to the water, “Any water, any speed; a fish can take it on,” Firestripe mewed, mainly to herself, before she slipped into the water. Once more, the cold overwhelmed her, but it was better when she didn’t randomly come to once more to find herself on RiverClan territory in the river. Oh, yes, far better.
