GENERAL
Name: Hawkfang
Name Explanation: Hawk; for his brown pelt, which resembles the color of some hawks native to the are and -fang is for his skills when it comes to fighting with his teeth.
Gender: Tom
Age: 28 moons
Clan: RiverClan
Rank: Warrior
APPEARANCE
Body Type: Very thin
Fur: Dark brown tabby
Eyes: Blue
Markings: None
Overall: Unlike most RiverClan cats, who appear wellfed, even plump, Hawkfang looks as if he just came back home from being starved for a few days. The RiverClan tom could stuff his face with food all day every day, but he wouldn't put on tons of weight. His body simply doesn't work like that. Some would remark that Hawkfang looks unhealthy, though he really isn't.
The tom is medium in stature with medium-length dark brown tabby fur. It is sleek like a fish and he prides himself in grooming his coat often. Hawkfang has a head blockier then most other cats and his eyes seem to be sunken in- they are blue as the water and in the shape of pebbles. He also has triangular ears that are set close together on top of his head. Hawkfang's left ear has a small notch in it from when he was an apprentice.
PERSONALITY
Positive Traits: Determined, Calculating, Serious, Wise
Flaws: Often, Hawkfang is stubborn. He thinks about everything and this can often take quite awhile; his wisdom is quite limited due to his age, but he tries to act as if he knows a lot more. Very envious.
Fears: Death and the Unknown
Quirks: Whenever he is being untruthful, Hawkfang twitches his whiskers, but he can stare a cat right in the eye. The RiverClan tom also loves shiny things more then most- it irritates even him and, often, others around the tom.
Ideals: Maturity and determination.
Overall: At first, Hawkfang seems like a boring warrior. Serious, determined, wise. No fun. No fun. No fun. The phrase is often repeated in some cats' minds when they hear him drone on and on about what he thought about and what is their opinion? Indeed, Hawkfang's more positive traits portray him as a warrior who only sits inside and thinks, a warrior who never gets into trouble. But there is more to the young RiverClan tom then most think.
Sometimes, Hawkfang is so caught up in wanting to finish a task that he becomes very stubborn and will hiss at any cat who suggest he just let things be. Really, you do have to finish everything you start. Simply law.
The thin warrior also possess a form of arrogance due to the fact that he thinks he is very wise. True, Hawkfang does have some wisdom and can offer great insight on a few items, but he is young, and therefore ignorant about a lot of things. Attempt to tell him that, though, and the brown tom will make sure not to speak to you for quite awhile.
Hawkfang is also incredibly envious, espiecally of his sister, Jaywind. Often, the tom find his sibling immature and strongly believes that, if Rookstar wanted to have such a young deputy, he should've been choosen. Surely he is wiser and stronger then his irritable sister?
A quirk that is very annoying to Hawkfang is the fact that he is easily distracted by anything shiny. If there's a piece of metal a Twoleg dropped glittering on the shore, he'll trail off in the middle of conversation and stare at it for a few seconds. He doesn't normally do it when he's doing something incredibly important, like fighting off intruders, as he doesn't tend to notice anything on the ground then anyway, unless it's a fellow Clanmate. No, this generally happens on quiet patrols or if he's just taking a stroll (alone or with another cat). He is also a horrid liar- not because he cannot look a cat int he eye, but because his whiskers will always twitch, givnig him away. This causes Hawkfang to be brutally honest at times. So if you ask him anything about yourself, be prepared for some unkind words.
HISTORY
Family: Mother: Hollyfrost
Father: Sunwing
Sister: Jaywind
History: Kithood: Hawkfang was born to Hollyforst and Sunwing of RiverClan. His sibling was Jaywing, then Jaykit, who would soon grow to be RiverClan deputy, much to Hawkfang's envy.
As a kit, he was incredibly boring. Oh, he did play, but he was still distracted by shiny things and would often keep up a steady chatter abuot how marvelous they were, putting most kits nearby to sleep. (Although this did make him a favorite of nursery queens...)
Nothing very exciting happened during his kithood, though.
Apprentice:
As an apprentice, Hawkfang loved the fact that he got to go out before his sister. She would be stuck in camp, caring for her Clanmates, while he learned to hunt and fight like a real warrior. To his dismay, his sister received her warrior name after five moons, while he had to wait about eight more days before he received his. Perhaps it was because she had a bit more knowledge? Caring for older cats did pay off if they told you stories and, as an apprentice, Hawkfang just...didn't do a lot of that. Oh, he did the normal amount, but his mentor never made him stay in a moon just to clean dens and the like.
In training, he was a skilled fighter, though. But, by no means, was Hawkfang a hot-head. He'd keep fairly cool and collected when faced with challenges and his thoughtfulness came into handy, for though he wasn't always a quick thinker (more so, he liked to drag things out), it did seem to come naturally during fighting.
Warrior:
Hawkfang has not been a warrior for long and he wasn't afraid for some very large battles. He does do his best to serve his Clan, though. Hawkfang is often the warrior who volunteers to go on border patrols. He doesn't particularly enjoys hunting.
Envious he was when Jaywind got an apprentice, he congragulated her. The tom felt incredibly guilty when he was slightly glad she didn't have one any longer after Reedpaw died, for it made it seem like he was willing to sacrifice Clanmates to be even with his sister. His envy became an ever-lasting thing, though, when Jaywind became deputy. Nothing he could do would make him even with her- he could even become deputy someday himself, but Jaywind would've always gotten it first.
