GENERAL
Name: Dreamfeather
Name Explanation: Dreamfeather was given the prefix Dream by his mother who felt as if he was a dream come true for here, a name she might have decided to change later on for it's cliche-ness if it hadn't been for the fact that he had a dreamy air about him anyways in the first few moons and which stood true in the moons to come as well. When he became a warrior he was given the suffix of feather due to the downy way his fur tends to ruffle and resemble feathers. The suffix feather was used as well for the flighty sort of personality Dreamfeather has.
Gender: Tom
Age: 16 Moons
Clan: Shadowclan
Rank: Warrior
APPEARANCE
Body Type: Thin
Fur: Shades of Ginger
Eyes: Dirty Dark Amber, Almost Brown
Markings: Holds some traces of tabby stripes in his mostly mottled ginger fur.
Overall: Dreamfeather is a thin tom, but one wouldn't guess it so quickly just from looking at him due to his feathery, fluffy fur. His fur is long and always sticking up at odd angles making him appear as though he were a bird whose feathers have been ruffled, though his relaxed appearance lacks the annoyance to carry that idea through too well. His thin body though is therefore often misjudged since his fur poofs out a lot more than it stays flat giving him an older look then his moons can fill. His relaxed posture and often distant eyes give him the appearance of one who lacks the respect or mental capability to listen to someone so often times other cats will avoid talking to him just off of that. His ruffled fur also gives others the impression that he doesn't see fit to take care of himself too often, though were one to look they would notice his fur is almost always free of the dirt and dust that are the true signs of badly kept fur.

PERSONALITY
Positive Traits:-Creative: Dreamfeather's thoughts flow a bit differently from the way another's might so he often comes up with ideas that others haven't thought of, though usually he keeps them to himself as he sees no reason to change something until it needs changing.
-Insightful: Dreamfeather has a knack at noticing changes due to his constant observations of the world around him. Because of this he often has the uncanny idea of how someone else feels about certain things by the different ways they will act. Sometimes he'll consider advising them in their choices for the fun of it, especially if it concerns another cat, but usually he leaves them to do as they please, being more the sort to sit back and watch.
-Attentive: Much like his insightful knack for understanding other cats, Dreamfeather can see changes in the land and places around him as well so that if something changes suddenly he'll notice it. Thanks to this he makes an extraordinary, if interesting, tracker.
-Patient: Dreamfeather is the sort that likes to sit back in life and watch, helping where he sees fit and keeping out of business he knows he has no right to muddle in. Because of this he has become someone who has a natural patients that many would envy, even though this patients often has no profits but a better understanding of the world around him.
-Supportive: When it is needed Dreamfeather is the sort who can support another cat without doing so straight out. He can changes things around the cat to encourage them, yet not let that cat know he is being helped, something that might shatter one's pride.
Flaws:-Distant: Though this may be because there really isn't anyone his own age, Dreamfeather has always remained distant from other cats, preferring to watch and listen rather then show off or talk with them. This has caused him a lack of loyal friends and a social disadvantage when it comes time for him to talk with others.
-Flighty: Dreamfeather tends to wander and avoid others often. He doesn't care for being stared at or scolded so he takes to running from such things rather then remaining to continue the discomfort.
-Indifferent: Though Dreamfeather is really anything besides indifferent, he puts an act on to make himself seem as such and thus many of his clan mates, and cats from even out of the clan, tend to ignore him in preference for cats who will react to them. That is the way Dreamfeather prefers it as well, to be ignored and allowed to continue observing and thinking upon the world.
-Unfocused: Again, this is another thing Dreamfeather does differently then most. Rather then focusing on something he wants to learn more about, he unfocuses himself and allows himself to take in all sorts of information at once. This will often muddle his mind and make it somewhat confusing for him, but he has done it so long that he doesn't get head aches anymore. It probably isn't good for his sanity and it leads other cats to dislike his tenancy to seem to not be listening to them. In reality though this is a major flaw in his mental workings, it does lend to some benefits. We can only be thankful that he can and does focus in on things now and then.
-Unloyal: Rather then a strong sense of loyalty like most clan cats he has strong beliefs in what is ethical and fair. He will follow the Warrior code as far as he sees the fairness in it but the moment he sees a fairer, more just way of doing things he won't hesitate to break the code and do what he believes is right.
Fears:-Stability: If something stays the same too long it scares Dreamfeather. He has come to understand that the world is constantly changing and for things to stay the same for too long has often led to bad experiences as far as he is concerned. He will often do things to change the world around him if he feels it has stayed the same for too long.
-Yellow Flowers: This fear is more alike the silly unreasonable fears most have, such as of spiders or the dark, they are usually harmless but get one near him and he will freak out. To him yellow flowers are a darker omen then an owl in the day. The yellow reminds him of infection and sickness. To see such in something as innocent as a flower causes an irrational fear of it in his head.
Quirks:-Dreamy: Dreamfeather is different from others in mind and actions due to the fact that he is constantly observing the world and dreaming about the possibilities and ways it could be changed, rather then just living in it.
-Random: Because of the way he takes in the whole world at once when someone gets him to talk with them he seems to be jumping from subject to subject even though there is a clear line of thought in his head.
Ideals:-Ethics: Dreamfeather believes deeply in that there are things that are moral and things that are not. He dearly adores the morals and ethics that he thinks should be better followed in the world.
-Fairness: Alike his feelings on ethics, Dreamfeather has strong feelings on what is or isn't fair. He will follow through on those feelings more than any command from anyone besides his leader, if even then.
Overall: Dreamfeather is a distinct individual in this world. And yet despite his obvious differences he has managed to make himself blend in and be somewhat distinct. Other cats tend to dislike him and ignore him. He is too different for them to understand, and those whom one doesn't understand is very unlikely to be liked. Somewhere Dreamfeather longs for someone to love and care for him, however he has been left alone to be different for so long that he can not see hope for love anymore. He does know however that the world is constantly changing and hopes that others may like him some day. For now though due to his strangeness others avoid and ignore him. He is often only acknowledged when his help is required, such as for patrols, hunting, and tracking movements of the other clans.
HISTORY
Family:-Mother: Firesong
-Grandmother: Robinweed
-Father: Unknown
History: In Dreamfeather's family, at least as far as his mother's side goes, it is often the case that the she-cats would take mates only long enough to become with kits then part with them on good terms. It also ran in the female genes that they were likely to have small litters. His mother, Firesong, did as her mother had and took a mate only to produce kits and never told anyone whom the father of her litter was and he never spoke up, likely at her wishes. Firesong gave birth to a single kit, just as her mother had her, and she adored him, even though she worried about the strange ways he acted. Sadly though soon after Dreamkit's fourth moon of life Firesong decided to go with the clan to fight in the Battle of the Moore and got herself killed. Dreamkit was old enough not to need milk and since there weren't really many other kits at that time he was left to himself for the most part of the last two moons of his kithood before becoming an apprentice.
His mentor was a cat known for his speed and bravery, but not for his patients with his apprentices. He was growing old as well and he found his newest apprentice to be quite a challenge to convince to fight and to understand. He tried his best to train his strange pupil, but in the end he could not convert Dreampaw's distant and ethical ways. So instead he tried to adjust his teachings around such a difficult student. He taught Dreampaw self defense moves and helped train him in his obvious talent at tracking. In the end he did the best job of training Dreampaw as any cat could have done. Once he was convinced he could do no more for the cat he had come to appreciate as a strange individual, the elderly cat passed Dreampaw into a new life as a Warrior. One in which his mentor could no longer guide him or appreciate him, for soon after he caught a sickness that took his old body to it's end. Dreamfeather has since learned to survive in the clan and remain himself at the same time. Yet many still don't understand him at all, and the few that understand him in the least seem to keep at a distance from him.
RP SAMPLE
Dreamfeather walked the marshy paths he knew so well with his eyes unfocused, allowing his other senses to take in the world around him in place of his eyes whom he left open to allow the pleasure of colors to flavor what his other senses told him. The harsh smell of the muddy water, 'Or should it be called watery mud?' he wondered blandly, was filling his nose for the most part, but left room for the sharp tang of the marsh weeds and grasses, as harsh as a Shadowclan cat to survive in this land. The sound of his paws padding gently on the little dry earth he had walked many times made a steady beat for the melody of frog croaks and buzzard cries that could all be heard along with the splashes of watery mud and rustle of marsh weeds in the wind.
Dreamfeather did not care deeply for this sort of land, but it was his home all the same and his paws felt the soft earth beneath them that gave him a comfort of familiarity that was as prone to change as the rest of the world, something else that comforted him. Even if his clanmates could not understand him, that was alright. He could understand them and the world they lived in and yet still see the possibilities he figured were beyond their thoughts. He thought of them dearly, as well as the other forest cats. Together they had a strong sort of society, one with flavorful culture and interesting clan differences. The land they shared, yet refused to share at the smae time, provided them with life that they in return would die one day and enrich the soil with their bodies to let their spirits free to Starclan.
He loved all this, yet wished the clans could be a bit more ethical. Killing each other over a bit of land didn't seem fair when they could easily share the abandoned moore that none of them had the strength to really live on. he had to wonder about that land. He had heard rumors that their used to be a fourth clan that lived on that land but he was never close enough to know if any of it were true. And yet he couldn't help but think that the idea of a clan living there made the whole forest seem a lot more balanced. He let his mind wonder from these thoughts, feeling no need to stay on any one topic.
