Overall: Baypaw comes across as a relaxed cat. Her posture and body language most certainly reflects this. If she sees a cat doing something that she has yet to learn, say for instance a new hunting strategy, she will go to lengths end to learn it. She can be somewhat rebellious which many see as something that might stop her from becoming a warrior. Her open-mindedness often leads others to think that she is siding with the enemy. Being open-minded makes her very trusting, since she would rather see the positive possibilities behind a cat’s action rather than the negative. Baypaw is also outspoken, causing some disagreements between her and her clan mates.
HISTORY
Family:
---- Mother : Quietstep
---- Father : Tanglefur
---- Brothers : Creekpaw, Jaggedpaw
---- Sister : Finchkit
History:
Kit - She was the first born with her sister, Finchkit, being the runt of the litter. As a kit she would constantly get into fights with her two brothers. Her sister was weak and was kept close to her mother. Even though Baypaw spent most of her time with her brothers, whenever she got the chance she sat by her sister’s side and a strong bond was built between them. Within 3 moons, Baypaw’s sister quietly passed away which was devastating to Baypaw. She sometimes looks towards the heavens and secretly wishes her sister was here with her.
Apprentice - Since she had just became an apprentice, nothing much can be said about this chapter in this young cat’s life.
RP SAMPLE
The noise of the river’s water and the wind dancing through the reeds was soothing and made the world seem surreal, almost like a dreamland in a far off land. With her eyes closed, the young kit imagined this perfect land; where you could breathe underwater instead of drowning, where clans would be free of conflict, and more importantly, a land where disease would not take the lives of the young and innocent. It was a cruel world she lived in, but Baykit had no say in what world she existed in. She opened her eyes and raised her body into a sitting position. She glances around her, taking in all the faces of her fellow clan-mates. They all seemed happy, like nobody important is missing from their lives. It made Baykit want to walk over and yell at them all.
Did they not even care? Where they so caught up in their own lives that they could not give the slightest regard to Baykit’s loss? Was her family just another tree in the woods? Sure, Finchkit wasn’t able to move about the clan’s territory and meet the other clan members, but she was still part of the clan. She could have been the future of this clan, the next leader. Finchkit might of also been this clan’s savior if the clan ever got in trouble. Of course, she was destined to be a sickly cat if she would of made it to adulthood.
“Maybe it was a good thing she left this place,” thought Baykit to herself, “I mean, she would be too nice to hurt a fly let alone a fish or mouse.” The small kit trudged over to the rivers edge and gazed at her reflection. The cat staring back at her resembled her sister. Baykit remembers being told that she and Finchkit looks like twins, though if they were Baykit took all of Finchkit’s life when she entered this world. The bay kitten looked back towards where her mother was with her two brothers. She couldn’t tell at this distance but she was certain that her mother was explaining where their sister was living now. She had had that same talk the night before, mere hours after it was discovered that Finchkit had passed on.
Baykit remembered that night. It was hard for her to forget. How could she forget? Throughout those few months her sister had been alive, Baykit was at her side every moment she got. Their bond was strong, even stronger than Baykit’s bond with her brothers, who she had spent more time with than her ill sister. If she would have known that her time with Finchkit would be cut short. If only she would of known, she would of devoted all her time to her sister. She sighed and batted at her reflection causing ripples to distort the face beyond recognition.
She watched the ripples pan out, expanding as far as they could before disappearing. She stood and turned catching a glimpse at her mother’s heartbroken face. Dipping her head until it was even with her back, Baykit stepped lightly over to her mother’s den. Her brothers must have left and went to visit the elders like they normally did for they were no where in sight. Baykit looked up at her mother. Her eyes reflected the sorrow she had showed the night of Finchkit’s death. Nuzzling her mother in a way of trying to comfort her Baykit drifted off into sleep, once more dreaming of that perfect world.
