Because I have no life, I'm going to post any of my ideas in this thread. These are purely things that just come to mind randomly, so feel free to shoot them down and stomp on them if you don't like them or they wouldn't work. :3 My first suggestion actually comes from an error that I've been seeing often. Some members are replacing ShadowClan's forest territory, a marshland, with their lake territory- the pines. Now, I'm partial to the pine forest myself, so I was wondering if the New Prophecy plot would come into play. After all, the absence of Fireheart isn't going to stop twolegs from building in the clans' forest. True, events are changed by the tiniest things, but I don't really think a missing cat is going to change too much in the twoleg world. Maybe after WindClan gets completely settled, Monsters can roam off the thunderpath and cats can start to disappear? As for the chosen cats and the half-clan deal, maybe specific cats with friends across the border can volunteer to have kits? Just maybe something to think about if the forest starts to get boring. LOL. ^^; Second suggestion is something for the Merchandise stock. I've been to a proboard site that had an insane amount of members with no limit on characters. After a while, and I'm guilty of this too, they started to give characters two particular injuries that became pretty popular: eye-scars and missing legs. One of my more popular characters, NightBlood, has a blind eye as a result of her eye-scar. So, I suggest three more things to add to the Merchandise list- Eye-scar, Blind-Eye, and Missing Leg. :3 Blind-eye can cost half as much as Blind. XDDD

I like these ideas... but one question. How would a cat survive life in the forest as an amputee, and for that matter, how would it survive the amputation/how would a cat amputate a leg?

*raises hand* Zephyr's fault. I always pictured ShadowClan with pine trees, even in the first books, and my view was never properly corrected XP

I like these ideas... but one question. How would a cat survive life in the forest as an amputee, and for that matter, how would it survive the amputation/how would a cat amputate a leg? Maybe they had a bad bite/open wound that got infected? And then the leg itself became...rotted, in a sense and then fell off? But that's extremely painful and I don't know if it'd require medical attention cats can't provide or if it'd just take awhile to heal on its own. xD

Well... Maybe being an amputee would be more for kittypets or rogues or loners who used to be kittypets. Dogs and cats in general get along pretty well without a limb. I dunno about hunting, but pets are almost completely fine with it. And as for warriors with missing paws or legs, I think as long as the bone was completely ripped off at the joint and not just broken (because that would be fatal in all cases), a GOOD medicine cat could clean the wound as if it were any other, plaster it with herbs, and keep a long watch on the cat, s/he would be fine. Not suited for warrior life, so they'd be made an elder real quick unless they could find a way to work with it. After all, you gotta remember Berrynose and his tail. His amputation worked out pretty well. And Otter, I constantly beat myself up for almost typing 'pine forest' every time I post in ShadowClan. XD I was quite pleased when the writers put them in a forest. Balanced out the amount of open skies in the clans.

Thanks for the suggestions, Taggr!
Yeah, the ShadowClan territory thing is confusing, but I was under the impression that they had pine trees in their territory as well, not dense, but a few. At least it seemed that way in the description of their territory in Into the Wild.
As for migration, I'm not too sure about that simply because it would be a logistics nightmare. It makes sense that it would still happen, but it would be so difficult to properly organize and then it brings up questions about the Tribe of Rushing Water and if a patrol would be sent off and who it would consist of. It's not entirely out of the question, but it would simply be a lot to figure out. Not to mention entirely new boards xD
I like the ideas for merchandise but agree amputation might be very difficult to actually live with. Perhaps the cat would have to be an elder or something because I see no real way for them to get around or hunt.

I don't really think the Tribe is needed at all. The only thing they really did was kill Feathertail. Besides, if in this reality, there was no Feathertail or she didn't come to help them, Sharptooth would have killed them all out by now. and if a patrol would be sent off and who it would consist of. It's not entirely out of the question, but it would simply be a lot to figure out. Not to mention entirely new boards xD
Well, it would really be your own version of the prophecy. Maybe there doesn't need to be any chosen cats or a Midnight or anything. The Medicine cats might all receive their own odd visions, meet at the moonstone to figure out what the heck they're supposed to do, and lead the clans to the lake. After all, the whole chosen-cats thing was supposed to show that the clans could work together. Medicine Cats already live by a different-ish code and work together. They could teach them to behave. As for new boards, there's really just the matter of editing the descriptions. And maybe dedicate one board to the plot? That would save room. Maybe the moor board. I like the ideas for merchandise but agree amputation might be very difficult to actually live with. Perhaps the cat would have to be an elder or something because I see no real way for them to get around or hunt.
Yup yup. An elder or MedCat apprentice, like Cinderpelt.

I'll definitely think about a take on the migration plot after this stuff is over. It would be interesting to pursue. There's more stuff to do with the WindClan thing planned in the future, but after that's over, perhaps it could happen.

Another idea! This one could be used when we're overcrowded or to explain the disappearances of members and cats after activity checks. Rabies? Could be fun. An outbreak of... What would the clans call it? Ragemouth? After all, it does make one rather aggressive and is spread by sustaining bites from or licking up the foam around an infected cat's lips.

DUDE! I wish I'd seen this earlier! That's a neat idea. Maybe cats could volunteer some of their kitties to catch rabies. After all, it takes awhile to kill cats. There could be a rabies Clan for as long as the rabies lasted ^.^
