Patchpaw has a very unique face because one side is almost completely white while the other side is mostly a brown-tabby color. The tabby colored fur covers both of his ears and the back of his head except for a blotch of white behind his left ear. His back is almost completely white except for one large patch of tabby fur in the middle. All four of Patchpaw’s paws are white but both his left legs have a splotch of tabby as well as a larger stretch of tabby fur on his hind left leg. His tail is completely covered in tabby colored fur with a black tip. Patchpaw is often seen as an innocent, playful apprentice because of his small size and his round green eyes though if you observe his eyes close enough then it is easy to discover the cold attitude he has toward most creatures.
PERSONALITY
Positive Traits: Bold: He is never afraid to try new things.
Observant: Patchpaw always watches his surroundings closely and always notices small details that others tend to pass over.
Intelligent: Even though he is only an apprentice he is still a very smart cat although he tends to take an odd approach to certain things.
Determined: When he gets his mind set on something, he will complete it no matter what.
Flaws: Overly truthful: No matter how harsh his opinion is, Patchpaw will tell you exactly how he feels. This often causes him to upset many of his clan mates and gets him into trouble a lot.
No Faith: He has never really believed in Star clan and has a strong mindset when it comes to only believing things that he can see and knows to be completely true.
Anti-social: Patchpaw tends to stay away from other apprentices and spend more time alone than with other cats.
Careless: He often gets into a lot of dangerous situations because he ignores the signs that something isn’t safe.
Fears: Getting emotionally close to someone; heights
Quirks: Patchpaw often stays up when everyone else has gone to sleep to enjoy the lack of noise; He watches the sky a lot, he can sit for hours and just watch the clouds.
Ideals: Truthfulness- He hates when people lie either about what they think of others or about something they have done.
Independence- He likes to see cats who can take care of themselves without needing someone to direct their every move.
Overall: Most cats think of Patchpaw as a very rude, arrogant cat and not many will take the time to get to know him. They see him as an apprentice who will never make a good warrior because of his attitude but most of the cats don’t speak to him enough to know what he is like. Truthfully, Patchpaw does have a very cruel personality but that is mostly due to his blunt way of telling others what he thinks of them. The only reason he acts the way he does is because he doesn’t want to lose someone he is close to so he never gets close to others to prevent that from happening.
He is very difficult to understand and if you do not take the time to get to know him then you will never fully realize what type of cat Patchpaw is. Of course it is not easy getting to know him since the only way to get past his cold outer shell of a personality is to gain his respect and he doesn't really respect many cats.
HISTORY
Family: Ivypelt- father- warrior
Rainsky- mother- deceased
History: Ivypelt and Rainsky, Patchpaw's parents, were of two different clans and had a very secretive relationship, however, when Rainsky became pregnant with Ivypelt's kits she was forced to reveal her relationship to her clan. Many of the other warriors were angry with her and treated her like an outcast for the remainder of her life. Though Patchpaw was originally the youngest of two kits, the other kit died only moments after it’s birth along with Rainsky, who died from complications of the birth. Due to the unfortunate loss of his mother, Patchpaw had to be raised by another Queen in the clan and though she took very good care of him, she never really treated Patchpaw as one of her own kits. Without a real mother or father, Patchpaw became a very distant kit who spoke rarely and was cruel to the other kits.
As he grew older it was clear that Patchpaw wasn't ever going to warm up to the other kits so the other kits were usually told to stay away from him and just leave him be instead of trying to pressure him into playing with them. He began to get into a lot of trouble and once went missing for three days because he had wandered away from the nursery and off into the woods. He was found unharmed aside from the fact that he was hungry and was scolded harshly by his substitute mother. He managed to make it to apprenticeship without anymore major mishaps other than his mean attitude toward others.
RP SAMPLE
Aiden hummed quietly to the music that flowed through his headphones and into his ears. He ran his fingers over the bark of the tree that he sat under. He was facing the tree studying it for no reason since he had nothing else to do. The nurses had said that he needed to get outside more so here he was, outside, trying to entertain himself. He swayed back and forth slightly to the music. He looked down at his sketchpad that was beside him and wondered what he should draw, or if he should draw anything at all. He pushed his tongue out and used it to mess around with his silver lip ring.
Eventually he picked up his sketchpad and turned it to an empty page. Aiden took his pencil in hand and let his hand move on it's own not really knowing what he was drawing. The pencil made tiny scratching sounds against the white paper as the shape of a person started to form. He still didn't really connect in his mind who he was drawing but continued to draw anyway. His cheeks turned a light pink color when he realized he had drawn Jesse. He turned the page and started again trying to draw something different. He ended up drawing the flowers that were near him and to do this he had to lie down on his stomach and face away from the tree.
He continued to hum to the music and rested his legs to where they were kicking back and forth just a bit out of habit. He had propped himself up on one elbow and was drawing the tiny blades of grass that surrounded the flowers before moving on to the main subject of his picture. He had to keep blowing at his bangs since they were dangling into his eyes and keeping him from drawing yet he would never think of cutting them because his hair was basically like a secruity blanket for him. He tried to keep his mind off of the fact that he had drawn Jesse without even knowing what he had been doing.
