GENERAL
Name: Lizardtail.
Name Explanation: There was no real reason why he got the prefix lizard. Perhapes because it is 'common prey' that can be found running around ShadowClan territory. However, he got the name tail as hisa suffix because of his tail. At the tip are several white rings that look almost like a lizard pattern.
Gender: Tom-Cat.
Age: 41 Moons.
Clan: ShadowClan.
Rank: Medicine Cat.
APPEARANCE
Body Type: Stocky, but some call him fat.
Fur: He has orange and white on his pelt.
Eyes: His eyes are sky blue in color.
Markings: Faint tabby markings along his back.
Overall: Lizardtail is a very unique looking cat; his markings are not normally seen on other cats. First of all, the base of his pelt is a bright orange. Lining this pelt are darker orange stripes, barely visible. The fur on his belly, legs, paws, chest, muzzle, and neck are all colored white. He also has a few white rings around the end of his tail, which gave him the suffix in his name. Lizardtail's eyes are also a nice, sky blue. He likes to think of himself as a stocky cat, as he is pretty big in size. But most cats, even those from his own clan, like to think of him as fat. His face sort of has a 'cute' expression on his face; you know when a cat has a fat face with wide eyes? That's Lizardtail. But when he's mean and grumpy, he can easily puff out his fur to twice his size.

PERSONALITY
Positive Traits: He cares deeply for healing wounded cats, he has a strong connection with StarClan (or he likes to think so), his loyalty is always put above his own safety, and he has skills of a warrior, so he can help his Clan if they are ever in trouble (read why in his history).
Flaws: He hates ThunderClan which can get in the way of his judgement, he doesn't always agree with his leader's decisions, he loves to torment new apprentices (although this isn't a bad thing for him ) and he believes in putting want StarClan wants above his clan-mates' wants.
Fears: Not being able to help heal his clan-mates and failing StarClan.
Quirks: He always seems to be flicking his tail in agitation, and he seems to love fighting as a warrior more than healing (although he still loves being a healer).
Ideals: Lizardtail does believe in loyalty to his Clan, however he doesn't approve of the idea that the leader's word is always law.
Overall: Immediatly cats can get the sense that Lizardtail is very mean, rude, and sarcastic. From the outside, he seems like one of those old elders that like to boss other cats around to do things for them. Which is somewhat true; Lizardtail likes to put new apprentices to work for him, or likes to make fun of them in front of other cats. Because he is the medicine cat, no cat can make rude comments to his face, no matter how much they may talk about him behind his back. As he was once a warrior, Lizardtail feels a deep pulling to go into the woods and hunt for his Clan. But now he knows he has something more important to do. He is very rough with his healing, as his paws were originally used to shred cats in battle, not heal. Most kits are scared of him, and he likes it that way. But deep inside, there is another motive for his healing. He doesn't want to lose his sister the way he lost the rest of his family.
HISTORY
[/u]: Father, 44 Moons, Dead.
Family:
He was a large, reddish-orange tom with fiery red eyes. He was known for his loyalty to his Clan, and the passion in which he protected them with. However, he was foolish, and this got him killed. He was chasing ThunderClan cats across the border, not watching where he was going. He got hit by a monster, and died almost immediately.
Mossnose: Mother, 39 Moons, Dead.
She was a very lightly built tabby she-cat with a white chest and blue eyes. She was the same age as her mate, Redheart, as they were born at the same time, which is very unusual. She was naturally cautious and always dreamed of becoming the future deputy. Her dreams were cut short as she fell off into the gorge while hunting on WindClan territory.
Sparrowpaw: Brother, 13 Moons, Dead.
Sparrowpaw was a dark brown tabby tom with golden eyes. He had a very fiery temper, and was disobedient all the time. When his siblings both became warriors before him, he was furious. Desperate to prove himself, he left the camp to steal prey from another clan. However, he never made it that far. An adder bite him and killed him instantly.
Cloverwing: Sister, 41 Moons, Alive.
She is a white she-cat with brown tabby markings on her head and back. Currently she is a ShadowClan warrior, however she has never seemed happy with her place in the Clan. She's been grieving ever since her brother died, and her parents' deaths hit her even harder. She is normally quite patient, although she hangs around Lizardtail most of the time.[/ul]
History: Lizardkit was born to Redheart and Mossnose. He had two siblings; a brother named Sparrowkit, and a sister named Cloverkit. When he was a kit, he proved himself to be a worthy opponent; that is, he almost always won when he play fought with the other kits in the nursery. His mother scolded him once when he accidently bit his sister's ear too hard. When he became an apprentice, Lizardpaw was given Stonefoot as his mentor.
Stonefoot, in Lizardpaw's oppinion, was the meanest cat ever. He always forced his apprentice to work harder, fight harder, and hunt food faster. He was determined for his first apprentice to become a star warrior. A moon before he was to become a warrior, his mother fell into the gorge while she was hunting a rabbit on WindClan territory. Lizardpaw grieved for his mother for a long time, but he had his father there to comfort them. Finally, he reached twelve moons, and he became Lizardtail. His sister became Cloverwing; however, the leader saw recklessness in his brother, Sparrowpaw. Soon after Sparrowpaw became an apprentice he nearly got himself killed when he chased prey into a fox den. Because of this, the leader decided to keep Sparrowpaw as an apprentice for another moon or two. Furious, he left the camp to prove himself. But not long after, as he was heading towards the thunderpath to 'hopefully' chase out some enemies, he got himself bitten by an adder.
Life was uneventful after that until their father, Redheart, died. He was chasing some ThunderClan intruders out of his territory, and he wasn't watching where he was going. A monster came rumbling by and hit him, killing him instantly. Ever since then, Lizardtail had an undisguised hatred towards ThunderClan. A few moons later, Lizardtail was twenty moons. He was turning out to be a promising warrior; he wasn't quick or clever, but his size and strength were very powerful allies. However, this was not to be his destiny. StarClan sent a sign to the Clan's old medicine cat, Rosefeather, that he should train as a medicine cat. At first he refused, but the realization that he may lose Cloverwing too was over whelming, so he agreed to train as a medicine cat.
It was hard to accept at first that he would no longer fight or hunt for his Clan. But this was soon replaced by a desire to heal his clan-mates. He caught on to the herbs very well, and although his powerful body made him somewhat rough in healing, he became a great medicine cat. It was not long ago that Rosefeather passed on to StarClan. Now Lizardtail is the new ShadowClan medicine cat.

RP SAMPLE
Lizardtail sniffed the air, his muscles cramped and sore from the dampness of his bed. I'm going to give those mouse-brained apprentices a licking soon. He snarled to himself, angrily flicking wetness from his pelt. Climbing out of his den, he sat outside the entrance, slowly cleaning his ears with one paw. Already the camp was in a flurry of activities. Apprentices play-fought outside their den, warriors talked amongst themselves, and even a few of the kits were outside enjoying themselves. Suddenly a yowl disturbed the peace. All cats turned their ears anxiously towards the camp entrance as two warriors and an apprentice stumbled into camp. The apprentice was bleeding bad from his side, and one of the warriors' eyes was clamped shut and swollen. They staggered into the clearing, and immediately Lizardtail bounded over to them.
"What happened?" he asked, whiskers twitching at the smell of blood. The unwounded warrior explained that they had been ambushed by a small RiverClan patrol; they had said that this attack was only a warning. His blood beginning to boil, Lizardtail turned and whisked away into his den as the leader approached the wounded patrol. He grabbed an apprentice by the tail as he ran by. He ignored the squeal of surprise as he dragged her over to his den.
"Wrap your paw in these!" He snarled into her face, indicating the cobwebs hanging off the rock. She paused for a second, but set to work once he barred his fangs in her face. As she was working, Lizardtail snatched some horsetail from his store and whetted his paw, then dipped it in the poppy seeds. He limped back to the patrol, who by now had gotten over their short shock. He turned his attention to the apprentice first, since he was still bleeding. The female apprentice approach, her paw covered in cobwebs. Lizardtail grabbed the cobwebs and pressed them onto the apprentice's side. He flinched, but he didn't get up. As soon as the bleeding seemed to have stopped Lizardtail grabbed some horsetail and chewed it up, then spat it onto her wound to help prevent infection. As he looked over at the other warrior, he realized his eye wasn't too bad; it was only swollen from a cut on his eyelid. Lizardtail dashed back to his den then returned with some moss soaked in water. He gingerly applied it to the warrior's wounded eye, who in turn held it there.
After he had given both the warrior and apprentice poppy seeds to chew on he sat down, watching them slowly slip into sleep inside his den. They'll live to fight another day... He thought happily to himself.
